I really enjoyed reading this book and hope to see a sequel soon!
This unparalled story line is facinating and well as the characters.
Is Joseph David the second coming of Christ or the Anti-Christ? Will his friends manage to save him or aid him in the destruction of mankind? David Rueben does a great job of keeping his readers thouroughly engrossed in this book, its storyline and characters - it is hard to put down! Its a great read and I hope to see more.
I picked up Blood Of The Lamb in bookshop on the Oregon coast, and was delighted to find several nods to familiar locations around the Pacific Northwest, particularly that of my hometown Kalama Wa. The story was a welcome surprise. I went into it expecting a new take on an "omen-esque" plot, but the twists in certain situations and characters kept me guessing for the whole ride. All-in-all it was a very entertaining, scary and thought-provoking read, and I can't wait to finish the series!
I love this book - And if you love suspense thrillers that are romantic adventures with some horror throne into the mix you will too... The author David Reuben does an awesome job of sucking you into the plot and holding onto you though each increasingly terrifyingly/suspenseful chapter. The story has left me anxiously waiting to follow these characters. Especially Father Joseph David - Is he something like the second coming of Christ? Or as the story unfolds throughout the series will he become the Anti-Christ? And what of Paul Bradfield and Jennifer's pregnancy. Is the baby his or someone/something else entirely? I love the character Matt Larsen, I am worried, did he die? I will definitely buy all of the books of this series. Are they available yet? Or are they in the works...? Hopefully I won't have to wait too long.
Terrifying, provocative, taboo. Each could be used to describe this new novel by author David Reuben, and each would be an understatement. Blood of the Lamb is a novel that offers the reader a new kind of doomsday scenario of biblical proportions. With characters that are as intriguing, and as mysterious as the story itself, I found myself in a chase that was nothing short of pure suspense. It's refreshing to see a new author with integrity who isn't afraid to delve into the darkest depths of his own creativity and return with a work that stares controversy in the face leaving the reader only wanting for more. As you enter the world of Paul Bradfield and Matt Larson you begin to see the mystery unfold and devil that's in the details. I found the plot taking my mind to a place it's never been before leaving me begging not to come back. It's safe to say that Reuben's rebellious writing style, and incomparable story telling is an up and coming force to be reckoned with. In my opinion this book is excellent. Horror fans of the future, have found their voice.
